Day by day
Day 1: Karibu- Welcome to Tanzania
Touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you will be welcomed by an Africa Adventure Specialists representative. Your driver will accompany you to Kiboko Lodge. Magnificently situated at the border of Arusha National Park, Kiboko Lodge is the perfect base to start your safari in Tanzania. It is a beautiful place to enjoy the peaceful surroundings, the rich bird life and the stunning nature.

Day 2: Arusha National park (Including walking with a ranger)
Arusha National Park is one of the most diverse parks in Tanzanias northern safari circuit. Walking safaris are allowed within the park with an armed ranger for your protection. There are no cat familese.g lions, cheetah, leopards but plenty of buffaloes! Throughout the park there are numerous chances to experience the natural world at its own pace, to view different animals in their various habitats and absorb something of the serenity of the surroundings. You will also enjoy a great views over Mt. Meru and Kilimanjaro weather permitting.

You will enjoy picnic lunch in the bush and the rest of the tour you will enjoy a driven game drive as you drive back to lodge.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park Game drive
After breakfast you depart for Lake Manyara National Park (approx 90 Km) with en-route views. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, A beautiful park, Lake Manyara contains a diverse range of habitats and topographical features ranging from the rift wall, ground water forest, acacia woodlands and open grasslands to the shores of Lake Manyara and the lake itself. Have afternoon game viewing in the park searching for the diverse flora and fauna of the park. There are some 350 different bird species in the park. The park provides sanctuary to a variety of animals such as the gazelle, impala, buffalo, wildebeest, hyena, baboon, giraffe, hippo and the famous tree-climbing lions that are unique to the Lake. The park is generally recognized for its incredible beauty.

Day 4: Manyara Green day

Today in the company of a local guide you will walk through the fields, learn about the local plants, and experience several aspects of every day life of the farmers for half a day.

Later in the day visit the Children’s Home run by the lodge, the Farm, the gardens and the bakery to see how they have developed through the years. Many guests like to share their thoughts and knowledge allowing them to reach for the next milestone. You can volunteer to teach the children and engage in a tree planting exercise.

Day 5: Drive to Serengeti
The legendary Serengeti Plain is your destination today, a vast rolling plain whose sparse vegetation allows for
some of the best wildlife viewing in the world. The annual migration of wildebeest and zebra is one of the park’s great attractions, but throughout the year the Serengeti is excellent for seeing predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah, along with elephant, giraffe, hyena, hippo, rhino, and many varieties of antelopes and birds. You will enjoy a picnic lunch as you drive North of Serengeti. The evening is free to rest.

Day 6: Tracing the Big five in Serengeti
Today we enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing drives on the vast Serengeti plains. In the early morning and evening light, the Serengeti landscape is stunningly beautiful. The Serengeti ecosystem supports the greatest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa, including more than three million large mammals. The park is one that can never disappoint. One is spoilt by the variety of bird and wildlife species in this game reserve.
Depending with wildlife movement at different times, we may serve picnic lunch at a picnic site or take hot lunch from our lodge.

Day 7: Game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater
Today we drive and descend into the crater (600m) for an in-depth exploration of this distinctive Eco-system. Enjoy abundant wildlife viewing set against the impressive backdrop of the Ngorongoro Crater, the heart of the conservation area. These drives provide one of the best opportunities in Africa to view the rare black rhino, which tend to spend their time on the crater floor. Ngorongoro Crater is one of the world’s greatest natural spectacles; its magical setting and abundant wildlife never fail to enthrall visitors. For lunch, enjoy a picnic next to the hippo pools on the crater floor. Continue with the game drive throughout the various ecosystems of the crater, including woodland filled with zebra and baboon, plains that support scavenging hyena and a lake that is tinted pink with greater and lesser flamingos. Other game that you can see includes leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family, and small mammals.
In the afternoon ascend and drive back to your lodge for overnight rest.

Day 8: Walking / Hiking to Ngorongoro Empakai crater.

Today you will drive back to Ngorongoro park where with a ranger you will start the half day tour. This walk begins with a drive through the NCAA to reach Empaakai. You will pass through some of the most outstanding views in the Ngorongoro region. As you pass through Embulbul depression you will see herds of wildebeest or grants gazelle in the large grasslands that cover this depression caused by volcanic mountains. On reaching Empaakai, you will descend to the crater floor as Ol Doinyo Lengai looms over you. On reaching the floor of the crater you will walk around the periphery of Lake Empaakai. Flamingos are commonly seen. This is a great walk for the reasonably fit traveler.

Later in the afternoon you will drive to Arusha for overnight rest.

Day 9: Optional Day – Fly back home
Today will be an optional day depening with your flight time. There are optional activities you can engage (on a separete sheet) or just relax in your hotel. Later in the day you will be brought to the airport flight back home.
